Statement of Faith
Christ’s Church is a fellowship of believers whose supreme desire is to love God and to love our neighbor. It is our purpose to know Jesus Christ, while being conformed to His image by the power of the Holy Spirit.
We believe the only true basis of Christian Fellowship is Christ’s Agape love, which is greater than any differences we possess and without which we have no right to claim ourselves Christians.
We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, that He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, provided for the atonement of our sins by His death on the cross, was resurrected from the dead, ascended to the right hand of the Father, and ever lives to make intercession for us.
We believe that all people are, by nature, separated from God and responsible for their own sin, but that salvation, redemption, and forgiveness are freely offered to all by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. When a person repents of sin and accepts Jesus Christ as personal Savior and Lord, that person is immediately born again and sealed by the Holy Spirit, all his/her sins are forgiven and that person becomes a child of God destined to spend eternity with the Lord.
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by Whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life. We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit which is available to all who believe, for the purpose of imparting power to be witnesses for Christ. We believe in special and repeated infillings of the Holy Spirit to empower the believer for specific works and purposes. We further believe that the gifts of the Holy Spirit are valid for today if they are exercised within the scriptural guidelines. We as believers are to covet the best gifts, seeking to exercise them in love that the whole Body of Christ might be edified.
We believe in the resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous: For the righteous, the resurrection of life and for the unrighteous, the resurrection of endless suffering.
We believe in the personal, visible, second coming of Jesus Christ to the earth. He will return with His saints, and of His Kingdom there will be no end.
We believe it is important to uphold the Scriptural practices of the early church. Therefore, we hold to water baptism and the regular taking of communion. We do not believe that either of these practices is essential for salvation.
We believe our purpose is to establish and maintain a place of worship of God Almighty and to provide for the maturing, equipping and edification of the saints for works of Christian service through the preaching and teaching of the Word of God.
