What we believe
Christ’s Church is a fellowship of believers whose supreme desire is to love God and love our neighbor. It is our purpose to know Jesus Christ, while being conformed to His image by the power of the Holy Spirit. We believe:
The Holy Bible to be the only inspired, infallible and authoritative Word of God.
There is one God, eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, provided for the atonement of our sins by His death on the cross, was resurrected from the dead, and ascended to the right hand of the Father, making intercession for us.
All people are by nature separated from God and responsible for their own sin, but through salvation, redemption and forgiveness, are freely offered grace through Jesus Christ.
When a person repents of sin and accepts Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Savior, that person is immediately born again and sealed by the Holy Spirit. All his/her sins are forgiven, and they become a child of God destined to spend eternity with Him.
In the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life. The Holy Spirit is available to all who believe for the purpose of enabling them to be witnesses for Christ and to empower them for specific works. The gifts of the Holy Spirit are valid for today, when exercised within the scriptural guidelines.
In the resurrection of both the saved and the lost: the saved to eternal life, and the lost to eternal torment.
In the personal, visible second coming of Jesus Christ and His eternal Kingdom.
Water baptism and the regular taking of communion. We do not believe that either of these practices is essential for salvation.
Our purpose is to establish and maintain a place of worship of God Almighty and to provide for the maturing, equipping and edification of the saints for works of Christian service.
